This article will provide you with an explanation and recommendations on the event banners and event image gallery.
On 17th of May 2022, we're changing how your event banner images are displayed. Instead of having two header image formats & trying to figure out how to crop them correctly, we're introducing a single crop.
This means that you'll need to create one graphic that looks the same in the banner, in the Facebook preview, in Billetto recommendations and so forth. We're keeping the most standard image size so that you don't have to create an image for every platform you post your event on.
Here's how your event banner will change after 17th of May.
If you have uploaded a Full Banner
Your banner is going to be automatically cropped. You can adjust the crop or upload a different image to the event page. If you have created a custom image for this resolution and need help with adjustment - simply get in touch with us & we'll try our best to help.
For the best results we recommend to upload a 1920px x 1080px image. This is the same size as the Gallery image.
If you have uploaded multiple images to the gallery.
Your image crop is not going to change. It will just be displayed differently in the new gallery. We have, however, reduced the number of images displayed in the single gallery to 5 (instead of 10 previously). According to research, this is an optimal number of extra images & they all should be visible on the page. This is how your gallery event is going to look after the update:
The dimensions for the images in the new event image gallery are the same as the current cropped banner dimensions: 1920px x 1080px. You can upload up to 5 images and we recommend only uploading images in JPEG or PNG format.
